Many people think that believing in divine decree is like saying that God does what He wants with us and that man has no will of his own. But this is false. God did not want to force men to follow the path of faith, even if He had the power to do so. But He wanted them to exercise their freedom by accepting or refusing to take this path. Knowing that if they refuse, it is by the will of God. Since He gave them the choice to refuse, and likewise if they accept, it is by His will, since He has allowed them to do so.

Those who preserve the natural faith that was instilled in them even before their birth, and do not corrupt it by proudly disdaining the signs of God and following their passions, such people God will further strengthen their guidance by making known the truth to them. and instilling in them a love of truth. While those who spoil their original faith by turning away from the truth, by giving themselves body and soul to the passions of this world and who persist in this path, refusing to listen to the voice of reason and listen to the reminder of the signs of God that the universe whispers to them or that believers recite to them, these God seals their hearts definitively after having warned them at length of the consequences of their acts.
