The science of Names and divine Attributes enables man to know his Lord in order to adore Him better. The more man knows the true greatness of his Lord, the more he becomes aware of his insignificance before Him and protects himself against Him. Likewise man's love for his Lord grows as he is instructed in the just and equitable manner in which He deals with his creatures.
It is therefore necessary for who wishes to know his Lord to seriously study the divine Names and Attributes by referring only to the Koran and the Sunnah of the Messenger of God ( saws ) .
