At the peril of ideas: the great questions of our time – Dialogue Edgar Morin and Tariq Ramadan

Unexpected encounter: the thinker of complexity facing the reforming theologian philosopher. The agnostic versus the believer. The descendant of Marranos facing the son of Egyptian exiles. The “frequentable” Edgar Morin facing the “infrequentable” Tariq Ramadan…

Far from the clichés attached to their names, they are above all two intellectuals anchored in their time and in their culture, two declared Europeans who are looking for a common "Way" here, evoke their years of training and debate, with the complicity of Claude-Henry du Edge, on education, science, art, secularism, women's and minority rights, the new Middle East, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, anti-Semitism and Islamophobia, democracy and fundamentalism , globalization and forgiveness…

Two conceptions of the world and of faith, two philosophies of life which only ask to be listened to.
