Imam Abu Hamid Mohammed Al-Ghazali:

Al-Ghazali Abu Hamid (450-505/ AD 1058-AD 111), eminent theologian, jurist, thinker, mystic and reviver of his time. He was born in Tus, in Khorassan. He was a student of al-Duwayni Imam of Al-Haramayn. From 484/1091, he taught at the famous University of Baghdad: the Nizamiyya; to groups of more than three hundred students. He composed about forty books. His most famous work is undoubtedly Ihyâ 'ulum al-din (Revivification of the sciences of religion).
