A privileged stopover during the week, Friday is a day of gathering and meditation for all Muslims. The common prayer preceded by the imam's sermon are the central points of this weekly (meeting) -union . It is therefore naturally important that the teachings given during these assemblies be accessible to everyone, thus allowing the believer, week after week, to update his faith, and to continue his spiritual education, according to the precepts of Islam. .

Bringing together part of the sermons that Hani Ramadan gave during the years 2011 to 2020 at the Islamic Center of Geneva, this work is a continuation of the first volume, already published, by Tawhîd editions "Sermons du Friday " (2011) . It addresses in turn the essential questions related to faith and spirituality, to worship and adoration, and to the ethics that all Muslims, wherever they may be, must adopt.

In addition to the fact that thanks to this book, the author offers French-speaking imams and their audience valuable material for their sermons, he manages to transmit to the reader all the depth of Islam through a brilliant presentation based on the Koran and the Sunnah. Hani Ramadan leads us easily towards a more coherent vision of creation, of the world and of faith.

Consequently, each time you take this book to read a few pages, one or more sermons, it is a bit like opening a window in a closed room: air and light enter it. This is true for all sermons, always benevolent and enlightening.

About the Author: Hani Ramadan

Born in 1959 in Geneva, Hani Ramadan is currently the director of the Islamic Center of Geneva. He has been giving the Friday sermon there since 1991. Lecturer and author of some thirty books, this Swiss intellectual is a writer much appreciated by Muslim readers. His writings offer readers an up-to-date approach to the teachings of Islam.
