Here, gathered in these pages, is what seemed to me to be the essence of the Islamic vision, to know for all Muslims and , more broadly, for anyone wishing to form an opinion on this noble religion . .

The Muslim reader as well as the non-Muslim will benefit from it. The first by having a deeper understanding of his religion, the second by refining his view of what drives these Muslims who are talked about so much.

We live in troubled times where there is a dangerous increase in withdrawal and ignorance of others. Times when the voices of hate and ignorance blare on prime-time television channels, while those of wisdom and knowledge struggle to be heard.

I hope that this modest work will contribute its stone to the building of better mutual understanding, because there is no remedy for ignorance except knowledge, and as the great scientist taught us and Muslim philosopher Ibn Rushd : “Ignorance leads to fear, fear leads to hate, and hate leads to violence. That is the equation. ”
