Major Foundations Excerpts from the Rules of Islam, by Ch. Abd Ar-Rahmâne Ibn Nâsser As-Sa'di - أصول عظيمة من قواعد الإسلام

This epistle is one of the rare wonders and unpublished masterpieces among the beneficial works bequeathed to us by the scholar 'Abd Ar Rahman Ibn Nassir As Sa'di may Allah be exalted have mercy on him. Valuable work which is hitherto unpublished; she is offered to us by her honorable children and grandsons. Its author may Allah have mercy on him entitled it "Major foundations extracted from the rules of Islam", and based it on five extremely important rules on which this religion is based:

The first : The entire Muslim religion is based on the worship of Allah Alone without any partner, and on asking help from Him alone.

The second : The true religion is that which the Messenger (sws) brought, namely: the book of Allah and the Sunnah.

Third: Faith in Allah is the foundation to which all the Messengers have called people, through which true progress is made in life here and in the hereafter.

The fourth : Order the proper, forbid the blameworthy, mutually enjoin the truth and mutually enjoin patience.

The fifth : The Muslim religion constitutes the absolute reform, without which humanity cannot be truly reformed...
