Description: The Tahâwîyya is the name attributed to the epistle written by Imam Abû Dj'afar at-Tahâwî (d. 321 h). An epistle which is intended to be a presentation recalling the foundations of faith and religion, as they have been defined and taught by the Messenger of Allah (prayer and salvation) to his companions, who in turn have taught to the next generation (may Allah be pleased with them all). These three generations, qualified by the prophet as being the best generations of the community, then all those who will have inherited their understanding of religion, are the Sunnis (Ahl assunna wa al-djamâa). Sunniism is a happy medium, simple and clear, but also a unifying factor. It is a way which exhorts the believer to serve the Lord with knowledge and clairvoyance, to behave towards beings with wisdom, justice and compassion. As for the epistle of Imam at-Tahâwî, it has been commented on many times. That said, the best commentary dedicated to him to date is that of the eminent scholar Ibn Abî al-Izz al-Hanafî (d. 792 h). An exceptional commentary which is maintained in a purely Sunni perspective and which will undoubtedly remain a reference. This comment has been partly taken up in the present work. This is therefore an essential and essential work for anyone wishing to have an exhaustive and precise view of Sunnism. A book rich in information, both religious, biographical, historical and bibliographical.
