Sexuality ISLAMIC MODE OF USE according to Mohamed Abou Tourab

Reference : 9782875452023

In Islam, there are no taboo subjects. The Quran and the prophetic tradition have addressed all aspects of the lives of believers and the Muslim community. However, there is no doubt that the intimate life of the couple constitutes an important part of the journey of believers who, at some point in their lives, decide to unite through the bonds of marriage. It is therefore not surprising that Koranic verses and prophetic hadiths evoke sexual relations to provide rules, proprieties and limits. In other words, a true Islamic ethics of sexuality.

However, absence of taboo does not mean absence of modesty. While it is good to explain the rules of healthy and fulfilled sexuality, it is imperative to do so with respect and modesty, which is why Islamic texts use numerous images and figures of speech to talk about this important but also sensitive and delicate subject.
