TAFSIR IBN ACHOUR: AT-TAHRIR WA AT-TANWIR تفسير التحرير والتنوير

"Tahrir al-Ma'na as-Sadid wa Tanwir al-'Aql al-Jadid min Tafsir al-Kitab al-Majid" is a Tafsir of the Quran written by Sheikh Muhammad at-Tahir ibn Ashour, the Sheikh of the university from Zitouna to Tunis.

This Tafsir is one of the most important Tafsirs referred to by scholars and it is one of the most important among contemporary Tafsirs. Through it, its author has been able to place himself among the most eminent scholars of the Tafseer of the Quran.

This book is the result of fifty years of work, in which its author has laid down his innovative and reforming vision. This Tafsir is distinguished by its interest in the rhetorical aspects (Balagha) of the Koran, and by the fact that it does not rely exclusively on the scientific heritage of Tafsir.

"At-Tahrir wa at-Tanwir min at-Tafsir" is the abbreviated title that the author Sheikh Ibn Ashour mentioned in the preface of his book, then this one was published in Tunisia in 1984 by a publishing house Tunisian in 30 volumes under the title “Tafsir at-Tahrir wa at-Tanwir.

Here is the brand new revised edition in 12 volumes resulting from the collaboration between Dar ibn Hazm and Dar Sahnoun (Tunisia).
