The Quran, A guide to thinking and acting

To speak of the Koran is to speak of an immutable and timeless book. A book which, although revealed fourteen hundred years ago, remains undeniably topical. A book in which the stories of the past live on in the present. A book that speaks to our intelligence and that God enjoins us to meditate on in order to extract its secrets.

If there are dead ideas and deadly ideas, there are also strong ideas and invigorating ideas to take up a strong concept from the thought of Malek Bennabi (m. 1973) which will often accompany our remarks throughout this book. . The Koran provides access to the most absolute and invigorating idea-force, just as it protects us from dead and mortal ideas. It presents itself as the guide of man in the entirety of his life, temporal as spiritual, individual as collective. It is aimed at all social categories, from the Head of State to the simple citizen. It is in view of all this that the exploration of the supreme way proposed by the Koran is quite naturally essential.
