This book is intended for students of 2nd S (nine-ten years and over) and has as its main objective their improvement in reading, text comprehension, and grammar of the Arabic language.

A few years ago, we set up this intermediate class between the 2nd and 3rd year, reserved for children and teenagers, in order to facilitate their access to the 3rd year program.

The book is made up of 17 texts, each text being studied over two weeks, i.e. two sessions.

The first session takes place as follows:

Reading: depending on the size of the class, all or some of the students (about ten) will be asked about reading the text to be prepared. This reading must be fluid and not jerky.

. Grammar: each lesson will be studied theoretically during the two sessions, then the subject of this lesson will then be illustrated in practice using the text.

. Text comprehension: one of the objectives of this level is to help students acquire the mechanisms of translation. In this first part (which ends with the symbol) you will notice that almost all the vocabulary words appear in the corresponding table. The teaching will therefore not have to translate this first part in class, but will be limited to explanations allowing the students to independently translate a few lines of the text for homework. During this preparation, it is advisable to defuse all the difficulties that the pupil could encounter, by insisting on some important notions such as the identification of the subject, the respect of conjugation times as well as the translation of possessive pronouns.

The second session:

In addition to the deepening of the grammar lesson, will be devoted to the full translation of the text, including the part that has been translated independently by the student.

At the end of this second session, the homework will include comprehension questions to be carried out on the exercise booklet.

It should be noted that learning (in grammar and vocabulary) can be subject to continuous monitoring in addition to quarterly checks. Accompanied by a dictation, each course requires two to two and a half hours for an average number of twenty-five to thirty students.
