The role of Zakat in cleaning up economic problems by Sheikh Youssouf Al-Qaradawi

It is a fact that the problems of an economic order constitute the top of the list compared to many others, because men are preoccupied with the battle of bread, of subsistence, to the point that the economic factor has become the most important in the founding of states or their fall, in the success of policies or their failure, in the uprising of revolutions or their collapse. Moreover, it may now be that the "ideological" battle taking place across the planet is of an economic nature. As for Islam, it is not isolated from these problems; he even has a positive position in relation to them. More particularly the Zakât, which has a preponderant role in their resolution. Therefore, it was our responsibility to present here some of these problems that have a relationship with Zakat to know how the latter solves them. These problems are: 1. Unemployment 2. Poverty 3. Disasters and debt 4. Great economic disparities 5. Money hoarding
