نبذة عن حياة المؤلف

عبد الرحمن بن محمد بن أحمد بن قدامة المقدسي الجماعيلي الحنبلي، شمس الدين، أبو الفرج، فقيه، من أعيان الحنابلة، ولد في دمشق سنة (597هـ)، وه و أول من ولي قضاء الحنابلة بها، استمر فيه نحو 12 عامًا، ولم يتناول عل يه معلومًا ثم عزل نفسه، وتوفي في دمشق (682هـ).
