The Book "Kitâb al-Luma' fi l-arabiya", if it is little known to the general public today, it is nevertheless counted among the most renowned books for learning traditional Arabic grammar in the Arab world. Muslim and this since its publication at the beginning of the 11th century. Written by one of the greatest Arab grammarians Ibn Junnî , this book has been a huge success with grammarians and teachers of the Arabic language.

It has been studied, taught and commented on by many personalities such as Ibn Khallikân , Imam an-Nawâwî, Abûl-Baqâ'al-'Ukbarî etc. .. The " Kitâb al-Luma' fi l-arabiya" is a concise book intended for the teaching of grammar and morphology in traditional schools. As for the content of the book, two-thirds of it is devoted to grammar ( nahwu ) and one-third to word morphology ( sarf ) .
