When we read the Quran carefully and meditate on it, we see that the first commandment it dictates is the worship of Allah without a partner. Likewise, we note that the first prohibition decreed is that of polytheism. Therefore, if Allah in His Book decided to give this theme a privileged and priority place, it is with the aim of encouraging his believing servants to also pay particular attention to monotheism and its opposite, namely polytheism. .

For some, this subject has become trivial and secondary. They allow themselves to neglect it and go further by denigrating those who give it importance. However, Allah does not give priority to a secondary subject. Indeed, it is enough to look at the habits and customs of many Muslims to realize that practices relating to polytheism are still well established in people's mentalities and daily lives.
