Explanation of the Hadith of Jibril, by Sheikh Salih Ibn Fawzan Al-Fawzan
These explanations were collected during a conference that his excellence - the sheikh - moderated around the commentary of the book entitled " Al-Arba'în An-Nawawiyya " ( The forty hadiths of An-Nawawi ) . I have isolated them here to make it a unique work considering the innumerable beneficial information that any student in search of useful science (religious science) needs.
This is a hadith of great importance to the point that people of science have titled it "Oum As-Sunna " ( The mother of the Sunna) , as exists in the Noble Koran: "The mother of book", because all the sunna finds its sources there. It clearly lays out the foundations of genuine belief, which is based on the six pillars of faith. There is also an explanation of Muslim legislation ( Ach-Shari'a ) with the evocation of the five pillars of Islam.
One also encounters there things pertaining to the invisible and the precursory signs of the end of the world. Moreover, there are before that the rules relating to propriety and religious practice as well as everything that allows hearts to be straight with Allah - Praised be He - and this, with the mention (of the degree) of perfection. We also find there evoked the end of times and its precursory signs, that being part of the things which belong to the Unknowable, and the proofs which indicate that. The whole Sunna is rooted in this hadith as well as all the foundations of the prophetic hadiths.
