He also wants to expose the diversity of subjects dealt with in the Koran. For several years the "thematic Koran" has already been produced in German and English. The French reference was missing. This is what we have prepared in this first edition. However, a thematic study in no way replaces the Reference Writing, it must then be emphasized that it does not replace the Koran. Nor is it a question here of wanting to modify the arrangement of the Koran. The Koran is a revealed Book, exceptional, unique, which no mortal can claim to make more perfect. If some argue that it is not arranged chronologically or that the same subject is scattered in several suras, leave them to their obtuse sense of poetry and divine creation. It is true that to approach the Koran, one must first accept that it is a revealed Book. The heavy ambition of this work is to indicate the verses or the passages of the Koran where it is possible to find all the quotations of an item studied, and to classify by themes and in alphabetical order the various subjects approached. Thus, the reader will look for verses relating to science, faith, the creation of the world and of human beings, the family, public relations... he will find the corresponding verses in the items. . The purpose of this book is not to provide a new translation, only the part of the verses concerning the item studied is quoted, this also leaves the reader the choice to use his favorite translation. Furthermore, as several terms used by different translations have often been notified, the reader should not be confused. This book does not replace a translation. Its objective is above all to be a solid base for a later study of the Koran and the beginning of a work towards new attempts at translation. The presentation by themes allows a completely different approach to the Koran, a scientific approach which makes it possible to draw a better understanding of it.
