All the suras of the Koran constitute a guide and a balm for those who follow the Way. There are, however, many hadiths that encourage the recitation of certain verses and suras in particular. Thus the Prophet (PBUH) said: “Whoever memorizes the first ten verses of surah “Al-Kahf” (The cave) will be preserved from the Antichrist. [Muslim] He also says: “Reciting sura Tabâraka (Kingship: 67) preserves from the torments of the grave. [Al-Hakim and Abu Nu'aym]. And the Prophet (PSL) did not fall asleep before having recited the suras The Prostration and the Kingship. [At-tirmidhi.]
