In closing his work, here is the message that the author wanted to convey, both to his students and to you:
We have completely achieved the goal we set out to achieve in composing this work. It contains lessons which, inshallah , will benefit children wishing to acquire these concepts and adults who need them; it contains something to bring the ignorant to knowledge of the articles of his faith and of the acts that religion obligatorily imposes on him. It explains many general principles of law and their applications, as well as many traditional prescriptions, particularly desirable things and many rules of convenience. I ask Allah, whose Glory and Majesty are proclaimed, to benefit you and me from what He has taught us, to help you and me to fulfill the rights He has over us in the obligations that He has placed on us. There is no strength and power except in Allah, the high, the immense. May Allah shower His Graces on our Lord Muhammad, His Prophet, his family and his Companions and grant them salvation! ”
Ibn Abî Zayd al-Qayrawânî ( d . 996 AD)
Shaykh Tariq Abou Nour, theologian and expert teacher in Malikite Fiqh, enriches this remarkable work with his comments and numerous additional notes.
