علم الفقه هو من أشرف العلوم  وأفضلها ، وقد أولاه العلماء عناية كبيرة وحرصوا على دراسته، وصنفوا في ذلك كتبا كثيرة، ومن ضمن هذه المصنفات التي لاقت إنتشارا كبيرا بين عامة المهتمين بالفقه المالكي هذا المتن المعروف ب-"المقدمة العزية" ، والتي صنفها الامام أبو الحسن الشاذلي، صاحب الشروحات والمصنفات المشهورة في المذهب، فقد رأى أن يضع مقدمة جامعة في مذهب مالك، لينتفع بها طلاب العلم سماها: المقدمة العزية للجماعة الأزهرية، وقد جمع العلامة المتوفي في هذه  المقدمة أمهات مسائل الفقه من كتب المذهب ومصنفاته الكبار، وبين فيها خلاصة ما إنتهى إليه علماء المذهب من ترجيحات وتشهيرأت  في المسائل التي وقع فيها الخلاف، في عبارة سهلة ميسرة بعيدة عن التعقيد والابهام ، مع اشتمالها على أمهات المسائل في كل باب من أبواب الفقه، والتي يحتاج إليها كل مسلم وراغب في التفقه في الدين، حتى صارت هذي المقدمة أصلا مهما من أصول المذهب التي جرى اعتمادها والتعويل عليها. ولذا سعى الشيخ ابي عمر أحمد مصطفى قاسم الطهطاوي إلى اخراجها مع شروحها التي دونت عليها

"The Shining Jewels with an Explanation of the Eminent Introduction in Maliki Jurisprudence with Mention of the Evidence"

The science of jurisprudence is one of the noblest and most important sciences, and scholars have given it great attention, studying it diligently and writing numerous works on the subject. Among these works that have gained wide circulation among followers of Maliki jurisprudence is the text known as "Al-Muqaddimah Al-Aziyah" (The Eminent Introduction), authored by Imam Abu Al-Hasan Al-Shadhili, a renowned author of commentaries and works in the field of the Maliki school of thought.

Imam Al-Shadhili chose to compose a comprehensive introduction to the Maliki school of thought so that it could benefit students seeking knowledge. He called it the "Eminent Introduction for the Community of Al-Azhar." The esteemed scholar who has passed away gathered in this introduction the key points of Maliki jurisprudence drawn from the major books and works of the school. He presented a synthesis of preferred opinions and divergent views of Maliki scholars in areas where differences exist, all expressed in simple and accessible language, free from complexity and ambiguity.

This introduction covers the foundations of Maliki jurisprudence and has become an essential component of the school, widely adopted and used as a reference. That is why Sheikh Abu Omar Ahmed Mustafa Qasim Al-Tahtawi made efforts to publish it with his own commentaries.
