This book, written by Dr. Ayman Rashidi Sweid, examines the issue of so-called "tahrif" (distortion) in a fatwa attributed to Al 'Izz Ibn Abd al-Salam. The controversial fatwa prohibits writing the Koran according to the calligraphy of the first Imams. The work clarifies the real position of the scholar Ibn Abd al-Salam, exonerated of these allegations. For centuries, doubts persisted about this, and some used this distorted fatwa to justify certain calligraphy of the Quran. This booklet aims to restore the reputation of Ibn Abd al-Salam and to dispel misunderstandings surrounding this scriptural distortion.
