AUTHOR BIOGRAPHY: Ragheb Elsergany
Doctor Ragheb Elsergany was born in Egypt in 1964. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Cairo. He completed the memorization of the Koran in 1991. He then obtained the Magister at Cairo University in 1992, then defended a doctoral thesis in 1998 on urinary tract surgery, under the joint supervision of Egyptian and American professors.
Doctor Ragheb Elsergany teaches at the Faculty of Medicine of Cairo University. He is the chairman of the board of directors of the Historic Center of Cairo. He is also the initiator and supervisor of the website “The History of Islam”, www.islamstory.com, the most important website devoted to Muslim history. This Muslim thinker-researcher has a particular interest in Muslim history. Its intellectual project, “Building the best Community together” is based on a precise and exhaustive study of Muslim history.
Doctor Ragheb Elsergany has published more than thirty works on the history of Islam and Muslim thought, works of which several have won prizes. The prophetic ethics of intercommunity relations is the first of his books translated into French (Bayane editions).
