Nigella sativa or black seed of Egypt is a herbaceous plant of the Ranunculaceae family. Its seeds have been used in traditional medicine for millennia to fight many ailments. In Sumerian civilization: a collection, dating back more than 5000 years was discovered in Nippur, an ancient Mesopotamian city, in 1948). The "Pen T'sao" (-4700 years, China), lists a large number of medicinal plants. Similarly, "Ayuvedic medicine", originating in India, has always exploited the benefits of Nigella (Kalinji oil).
