Reference : 9782492183102

We are in the digital age and the latter is not an option, it has become the norm for the majority of societies whether they are industrialized or not. In many primary schools and even in universities, tablets have replaced pens. These technologies have led to many upheavals in our daily habits. Do these upheavals oblige us to transmit spirituality in a different way? Can we find Allah on the net? The objective of this work is to show in what way, in spite of all these invasive and today dominant technologies, spiritual education is more than ever a necessity.

Spiritual Education in the Digital Age, by Lyess Chacal, Oryms

We are in the digital age and the latter is not an option, it has become the norm for the majority of societies whether they are industrialized or not. In many primary schools and even in universities, tablets have replaced pens. These technologies have led to many upheavals in our daily habits. As is often the case in such matters, there are advantages and disadvantages specific to these new uses. The forced march of digitization (or digitization) of society is no longer science fiction, it is reality. Even in the practice of our worship, digital tools are gradually invading us. Friday sermons are broadcast live and broadcast for miles via the internet; the digitized display of prayer times and various information is very popular with mosques which, by imitation, all have their “masjidbox”. We even see applications specific to certain mosques being developed, etc.

We must, however, ask ourselves a question: do these upheavals force us to transmit spirituality in a different way? Can we find Allah on the net? The objective of this work is to show in what way, in spite of all these invasive and today dominant technologies, spiritual education is more than ever a necessity.
