ان كتاب" المسند الصحيح، المشهور بصحيح مسلم" اللذي اقتصر على الاحاد يث الصحيحة المشهورة مما نقله الثقات المعروفون بالصدق و الامانة، وطر ح الاحاديث الضعيفة والروايات المنكرة. و قد صنف الامام مسلم صحيحه في بلده نيسابور بحضور أصوله في حياة كثير من مشايخه. اما الزمن اللذي استغرقه فيه فليس بالقليل، وذلك لجمعه طرق الاحاديث و تحريه في سياقها، و تحرزه في الفاظها، مع الإختصار البليغ، و الإيجا ز التام، وحسن الوضع، وجودة الترتيب

Sahîh M ouslim, from Imam Muslim Ibn Al-Hajjâj al-Quchayri an-Nisaburi

Imam Muslim -may Allah have mercy on him- took 15 years to compose his work "al-Musnad al-Sahîh", studying each hadith and ensuring its authenticity.
Imam Ennawaoui said: “ Muslim has distinguished himself with an excellent advantage, namely that his Sahih is very easy to access. He has placed each hadith in a separate place that suits him and where he has gathered his paths for which he has opted and whose mention he has chosen by putting his various chains of transmission and his various expressions... " .

The scholars unanimously agree on the notoriety and authority as well as on the very high competence of Muslim in this art. One of the most obvious proofs of his authority, his meticulousness and his mastery of the sciences of the hadith is indeed his authentic collection which has no equal as regards the thematic order of its parts and chapters, its precise mention of the channels of transmission of the hadith, its precaution to carefully underline the discrepancies between the transmitters at the level of the text (matn) or the series of transmitters (isnad) even if it is a single letter.
