“Here is an epistle that we have written, to defend the envoys of God and His prophets, to defend the quintessence of His creatures and of His devotees, to show what inconsiderate speakers assign to them as sins and crimes and what they attribute as scandals and abominations , which is pure falsehood, false testimony, consideration devoid of argument and proof. Indeed, they spit in vain and they envy without success, because their suspicions do not have the strength to oppose the strongest fortunate and to rise against the most suitable plan: "They utter a monstrous word which comes out of their mouths , they only speak a lie” (18, 5) . God is praised for the success He profusely bestows and thanked for the fulfillment He bestows. It is enough for us. What an excellent protector! (3, 173) . » .

This treatise on the Is ma (impeccability or infallibility of the Prophets) , although interesting in itself, because it condenses all the aspects of the problem and reports the whole of the opinions concerning it up to the time of the author, is however even more interesting as regards the way in which the latter proceeds methodologically to relate the objections and respond to them. One could say that he is one of the models of philosophical-theological controversy.
