The messages of God through the Torah, the Gospel and the Koran, the old, the new and the last Testament.
To fail to bring Islam as it should, when the earlier Books are no longer effective, is to let mankind starve spiritually.
The Word of God is the nourishment expected by suffering humanity. Thank God there are always patient servants, compassionate to their fellows, who do not throw the Qur'an "in the face" of men as a weapon of war, but humbly bring it to seekers of truth, as it is: Word of salvation for sentient beings.
The true "Guardians" of the Koran are those who make it understood and loved. And he who loves the Word of God loves God: he has then realized his raison d'être, since we were only created to adore Him as He deserves, since all merit belongs to Him.
