The Great Women of Islam Volume 1 is a collection of biographies of the noble Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) among women, taken from the history book Siyar A'lam an-Nubala by Imam adh- Dhahabi.

Siyar A'lam an-Nubala is an encyclopedic book of biographies of the noble Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and the scholars of the generations who followed them up to the time of the author, who died in 748 AH .

This book recounts the memories of those noble women closest to the Prophet (peace be upon him), such as his wives, his nurses, his daughters, his granddaughters, his paternal aunts, his paternal cousins, his foster sisters.

Some biographies are detailed, others are brief, but all are extraordinary.
