The popular trigger in the winter of 2011 in ten Arab countries, i.e. half of the member countries of the pan-Arab organization, caused the greatest panic within the Arab ruling classes, a fear infinitely greater than a combined attack of the forces of NATO, Israel and Iran against the Arab whole, in that it signed, in fact, the end of the Arab exception, marked by the bankruptcy of the rentier state, undermined by its heritage nature. The concomitance of the two uprisings on the two sides of the Arab world (Egypt in the Mashreq, Tunisia in the Maghreb), illustrated, in a symbolic order, the unity of the Arab world that Westerners have worked to balkanize.

The decapitation of the main pivots of Western influence on Arab land, by signing the losing bet of Arab Sunni Islam on America, should encourage the Arab leaders, beyond the imperatives of their own survival, to keep present at bear in mind the fact that the security of their oil supplies and that the Arab world does not have the same perception of its security as the United States, let alone that of Israel.
