Universality of Islam, Eva de Vitray-Meyerovitch

A major figure in the introduction of Sufism in France, Eva de Vitray-Meyerotivitch (1909-1999) was director of the department of human sciences at the CNRS and taught at AL-Azhar University in Cairo.

Through her work and her way of life, she perfectly embodied this universal and tolerant Islam advocated, among others, by mystics like Rumi.

If it is known above all as evidenced by its many articles. The latter, published in journals, were until now not very accessible. Jean-Louis Girotto, a specialist in his work, has brought together eleven of the most important ones here.
