The Call to God: Rules and Foundations, by Moncef Zenati

The absence of a representative of God on Earth makes every Muslim responsible for spreading the values and teachings of Islam. But, since one cannot give what one does not have, the training of preachers takes on its full importance. Mohamed al-Ghazali says on this subject: “To train preachers is to train the community. The effect of the ingenious man on his surroundings is like the effect of the rain on the earth and the effect of the ray of light on the resplendent place. Great nations are but an excellent production of a successful group of men.

It is therefore fundamental to train preachers with a solid and authentic understanding of Islam, imbued with the values to which they call and holding faithfully to the milestones established by God, which mark the way of Muslim preaching. Failing this, the preacher is not really one, and will do, although motivated by a good intention, more harm than good.

It is in this spirit that this book was written. It aims to present the basics of preaching and contains a set of essential rules for every preacher.
