The way of the Muslim, French-Arab, according to abou bakr jaber al jazairi

"Minhâj Al-Muslirn" (The Way of the Muslim) consists of five parts, each consisting of several chapters.

The first is devoted to faith;

the second to behavior;

the third to ethics;

the fourth to religious practices;

and the fifth to social relations.

It thus encompasses the foundations and branches of the Muslim religion.

Describing the method he followed in composing his book, Sheikh Abu Bakr Al-Jazâ'irî (abou bakr jaber al jazairi) may God have mercy on him

- said: “I followed, with the assistance of God, the good way. Thus in the chapters relating to dogma, I have not deviated from the precepts of the Ancients which have the unanimous approval of the Community. Whoever makes this dogma his own is sure to obtain salvation, because it is the dogma to which the Prophet (PBUH), as well as his Companions and their successors adhered. This dogma is also in line with the primordial nature and the pure religion brought by all the Prophets and for which the Books were revealed. "In the part reserved for jurisprudence - religious practices and social relations -, I have done my best to seek the fairest and most valid opinion in the works of the illustrious imams (Abu Hanîfa, Mâlik, Ash-Shâfi 'î and Ahmad; God have mercy on them) whenever it was a question that was not based on an explicit text or on an argument manifest in the Book of God and in the Sunnah of His Sent. Thus, any Muslim who follows the teachings set forth in this book is, without a doubt, sure of conforming to divine law. My plan is to bring together in a single way, our brothers so that they constitute a unity where their ideas agree, their souls commune, and their feelings interact. »
