The story of the Companions constitutes an essential page in the historical heritage of Islam. a page which, nevertheless, requires a critical and academic approach, in particular when the events relating to the dissensions and discords appeared between certain Companions of the Prophet (sbdl), after the assassination of the third rightly guided caliph, Uthmân Ibn Affân.

Al-Hadith editions have therefore taken the initiative to present to the French-speaking public one of the most complete and serious books in this field. This work deals with the history of the Companions since the death of the Prophet. Until the assassination of al-Husayn, paying particular attention to the discords and dissensions in which some Companions were involved after the martyrdom of Uthmân Ibn Affân.

To do this, the author adopts an academic approach as well as a rigorously historical methodology. He returns to the sources whose authenticity he studies, presents the facts and the stories which he analyzes in the light of a meticulous and scholarly criticism, and concludes with a series of questions and answers which relate both to historical facts and on current debates.

The author, through his work, rehabilitates the facts, restores the truth and methodically and scientifically dismantles the arguments of those who seek to falsify and alter the history of the Prophet's disciples.
